BREAKING THE CYCLE WITH KINGDOM SEED š±
BREAKING THE CYCLE WITH KINGDOM SEED š±
I didnāt grow up with the Lord. My parents were broken themselvesādoing the best they couldābut pain was passed down. I grew up hearing (directly or indirectly) that I wasnāt good enough. Rejection wasnāt just something I experienced... it became a part of how I saw myself. š
So when I became a mother to my daughter, fear whispered to me:
āWhat if I pass this same brokenness on to her?ā
But thenāJesus. šš½
When I gave my life to the Lord, everything changed. Not overnight. But over time, I began to understand a principle I had never been taught growing up:
āWhatever a man sows, that will he also reap.ā āGalatians 6:7
Every word I speak to my daughter... every reaction I model... every moment I respond in love or in anger... is a seed. And one day, there will be a harvest. š¾
So I made a decisionā
š„ The cycle ends with me.
No more passing down fear, shame, or emotional confusion.
From now on, I sow Kingdom seedāseeds of love, identity, peace, and truth into her life.
š THE PRINCIPLE: GODāS LAW OF SOWING & REAPING
In Genesis 1:11, God declares:
āLet the earth sprout vegetation, plants yielding seed, and fruit trees bearing fruit after their kindā¦ā
This is more than natureāit's a spiritual law.
Everything reproduces after its kind. That means if I sow rejection, fear, or anger into my home... Iāll see that grow in my daughter.
But if I sow grace, truth, and identity rooted in Christ? The harvest will look radically different. šš½
Jesus affirmed this in Mark 4: good soil can produce a harvest 30, 60, even 100-fold. Thatās what I want for my daughter. But good soil doesnāt happen by accidentāitās cultivated.
š± REAL TALK: WHAT ARE YOU SOWING INTO YOUR DAUGHTER?
Letās reflect, mama.
When your daughter watches how you handle stressā¦
When she hears the words you speak over herā¦
When she sees you pray, worship, apologize, or show graceā¦
Sheās not just watching.
Sheās receiving. š
āDo not be deceived: God is not mocked. Whatever you sow, you will reap.ā āGalatians 6:7
So ask yourself:
Am I sowing peace or chaos?
Am I modelling Spirit-led responses or emotional reactions?
Am I planting truth or criticism
Our daughters donāt just inherit our geneticsāthey inherit our example. š§¬
š« MY SHIFT: SOWING DIFFERENTLY AS A KINGDOM MOM
I remember reading Galatians 6:8 and feeling a deep conviction:
ā...he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.ā
I knew I had to shift what I was sowing.
So I started doing things differently:
ā
Break generational cycles and curses of her (and me)
ā
Morning affirmations with Scripture
ā
Praying with her, especially when she was upset
ā
Speaking blessingsāeven when correcting
ā
Reading the Bible togetherāeven if it was just one verse
And the fruit? šš½
My home felt lighter. My daughter grew more peaceful. She began praying on her own, asking deep spiritual questions, and walking in identity.
This is the power of sowing to the Spirit.
āļø REDEMPTION: EVEN BAD SEED CAN BE TAKEN TO THE CROSS
Maybe youāre reading this and thinking, āBut Iāve already messed upā¦ā
Thereās redemption.
āChrist redeemed us from the curse.ā āGalatians 3:13
Even the consequences of seeds sown in the flesh can be broken at the Cross. šš½
Take it to Jesus. Repent. Replant.
His mercy is greater than your mistakes. Period.
šø PRACTICAL STEPS FOR KINGDOM MOTHERHOOD
Hereās how to start sowing on purpose with your kids today:
1. Audit Your Words
⨠Replace negative patterns like, āWhy canāt you just listen?ā with,
āYou are smart and capableāI know you can handle this.ā
2. Create Kingdom Rhythms
⨠Worship music during breakfast, prayer before school, memory verses on sticky notes.
3. Prophesy their Identity
⨠āYou are kind. You are strong. You are chosen. You are a woman of God in the making.ā
4. Own Your Mistakes & Replant Grace
⨠If you lose your temper, confess it. Say: āMommy didnāt act like Jesus just now. Iām sorry. Letās pray and start fresh.ā
š¾ CONCLUSION: YOUR DAUGHTER IS YOUR HARVEST
You donāt need to be a perfect mom. You need to be a surrendered sower.
You are planting seeds every single day. And the fruit of those seeds will shape your kids view of:
God
Themself
The world around them
So letās plant Spirit-led seeds. Letās water them with truth. Letās pull the weeds of past trauma.
And letās raise kids who are healed, whole, and walking boldly in Kingdom identity. šš
